DAFZ visit to South Korea strengthens trade ties with business community

Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (dafz) recently held a series of seminars in South Korea with the Korean business community as part of its continuing initiative to facilitate trade relations among foreign business communities worldwide and further highlight its latest business developments. The seminar was held in partnership with the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Korea’s largest business association supported by more than 71 local chambers.

Jamal Bin Marghoob, Director for Marketing and Corporate Communication, dafz led the delegation in a series of business meetings and seminars about the Freezone’s growth and the various industries that have expanded in the community. The dafz delegation further noted that the visit aimed to boost foreign investments from South Korea, which currently enjoys a robust trade relations and investments with Dubai and the UAE.

The UAE is one of South Korea’s leading trade partners in the Middle East. Over the years, South Korea’s growth in the UAE have been on a continued growth trajectory with trade between the two nations.

As Dubai spearheads a new phase of economic development anchored on smart cities and sustainability, the dafz delegation seeks to engage the participation of South Korean companies looking to expand in the region and seize the opportunity of an emerging global city, including the hosting of World Expo 2020.

A number of high-value South Korean firms such as Dongbu Metal Middle East Representative office Branch, Moorim Paper Co., Ltd. Branch, Kolon Global Corp, Sangsin Brake – Middle East, ICT FZCO, SANSUNG L&S Co and Atlasbx Co. LTD – Representative Office have long established their regional hub in dafz, taking advantage of the benefits of the Freezone’s premium services, state-of-the-art facilities, strategic location, and business-friendly policies, while more than 300 South Korean firms are nestled in various business districts in the emirate alone.
